
Richard C. Rissel, DMD grew up in a beach community on the New Jersey shore and then attended Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut. Following that, Dr. Rissel entered the United States Marine Corps and became a fighter pilot, flying over 200 missions in Vietnam in the F-4B Phantom. After mustering out of the Marine Corps, Dr. Rissel attended Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri and then completed a pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital Medical Center Oakland. He opened his Concord practice in July 1980. During spare time, he enjoys fly fishing, skiing, hiking, golf, and almost any outdoor activity.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Renner grew up in Orinda and graduated from Miramonte High School. He went to college at the University of California, San Diego, University of California, Los Angeles for his dental degree, and Nova Southeastern Univeristy for his pediatric dental residency. Dr. Renner loves spending time with his two children, Gulia and Matteo in the great outdoors.
